About Me

Carol Granville L.M.F.T.

Carol Granville, L.M.F.T.

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California, offering therapy in both English and French. Originally from Belgium, I spent nearly three decades living and working in Los Angeles.

As a European-born expatriate adapting to a new culture, language, and life far from my family and friends, I faced numerous challenges and overcame them. Reflecting on my own experiences over the years — and working in various industries — I came to understand the many pressures people carry in their personal and professional lives. After earning a B.A. in Clinical Psychology and an M.S. in Criminology, I began to consider how I could make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. This led me to pursue my true calling: combining psychology with my passion for helping others by becoming a licensed psychotherapist and LMFT.

Today, I empower individuals to believe in themselves and thrive to their fullest potential by supporting them in overcoming life’s struggles and embracing meaningful change. My approach is warm, patient, collaborative, and rooted in helping clients create greater peace, fulfillment, and happiness in their lives.

My Areas of Focus

My main therapeutic methodology is Person/Client-Centered, with an emphasis on mindfulness, while maintaining a Psycho-Dynamic therapy style. I also use a diverse range of modern therapeutic practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT and CBT-Trauma Focused), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Strength-based Therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.

"Client-centered Therapy focuses on you being the expert on your life"

Anxiety, Depression &
Emotional Well-Being

Supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional imbalance and other mood-related challenges. I also support clients experiencing complex relationship dynamics and personality-related patterns, including avoidant, borderline, and narcissistic traits.

Traumas, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) & other Domestic Violence

Providing a safe, supportive, and compassionate space to help clients process trauma, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and experiences of physical, sexual, verbal, or emotional abuse. Furthermore, I assist individuals working through traumatic life experiences and PTSD.

Multicultural, Expatriate &
Cross-Cultural Experiences

Helping individuals navigate cultural identity, adaptation, relocation, and the emotional complexities of living between cultures. As a French-speaking European psychotherapist, I offer culturally attuned support to expatriates, international individuals, and those balancing European-American cultural dynamics.

Life Transitions, Relationships & Personal Growth

Assisting clients through major life transitions (career changes, divorce, loss…) while fostering self-awareness, healthier communication, confidence and meaningful growth. I also help individuals navigate social media pressures, digital overstimulation, relationship dynamics, and the emotional complexities of modern life.

Working Together

Life can feel challenging and overwhelming at times — you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where you can be yourself and explore what is happening in your life.
